✓ Misty Mountain guest suite: This is a 20-acre (8 hectare) private mountain property & home located up along a dirt road, on the western edge of the North/South Carolina (NC/SC) border in the USA. The property is exceptionally quiet & peaceful and directly adjoins a 13,000-acre unspoilt nature reserve, the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, packed with beautiful mountain overlooks, many miles of (easy to streneous) hiking paths, numerous waterfalls, three nearby state parks, boating, hunting & fishing, motorcycling, and many other recreational opportunities. Also nearby is the fantastic DuPont State Recreational Forest, again with opportunities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, numerous waterfalls, and other activities. The area ranks among the most biodiverse in the entire United States. The cities of Travelers Rest and Greenville, SC, as well as of Hendersonville and Asheville, NC, and their numerous attractions & opportunities, each are about 25 to 45 minutes driving away. The attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore Estate, the Tryon International Equestrian Center, and the BMW factory, car museum, and test-driving range, well-respected universities (UNC-Asheville, Furman, & Clemson) and, of course, the arts, entertainment, and international business scences in both regions, complemented by generally excellent cuisine, wineries, and breweries. Misty Mountain has a private guest wing for up to 4 guests (1 bedroom with queen-sized bed; bathroom; kitchenette/dining room; a sun room with a very comfortable 2-person sleeper couch; and private back-porch/deck access). ✓ Smoky Mountains luxury condos in Gatlinburg, TN: We have several spacious and luxuriously appointed condos available, all located inside a private, gated resort. Book several rooms for a larger family gathering, or singly (for either 4 or 6 people), or any combination thereof. Minimum stay: 3 nights; intermediate stay: 4 mights; maximum stay: 7 nights. Located just outside Gatlinburg, TN, you have easy access to the northern entry to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and all the nature opportunities that come with it. The Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville, TN, region ranks among the major tourism areas in the U.S. Perhaps most prominently, it includes the Dollywood theme park, which lies just a few minutes drive away from the resort. Check out the official Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge tourism sites to explore the very many vacation attractions available. We ourselves, for example, love the hands-on Wonderworks science museum, utterly fun & suitable for kids and adults alike.
The resort itself includes an indoor waterpark, several outdoor pools (included a heated infinity pool with mountain view), a mini-golf course, and even a kids' zipline. All this is included in our offering. There is no resort fee to pay; no cleaning fee either. Each of our condo units has a full kitchen, so save big-time on eating-out dollars.

✓ Loma Linda rustic rural living: This a a 10-acre (4 hectare) quiet, peaceful, & safe private farm property & home in the lower-lying area of Colombia's coffee-growing region (the zona cafetera). Located in the state of Quindio, near the municipality of Circasia, the climate is Mediterranean-like, that is, constant and mild. The property runs alongside a stream and houses pasture, bamboo stands, and plantain, avocado, and other fruit trees and bushes, as well as other vegetation. Colombia is renowed for its many hundreds of bird species, so expect to enjoy songbird concerts each morning. Two nearby international airports are in the cities of Armenia and of Pereira. Geographically, the small state of Quindio consists of a large, slightly-sloped plateau at about 4,500 feet (1,500 meters) elavation and is nicely bordered by some of Colombia's more majestic mountain ranges, easily accessible for hiking, bird-watching, and other nature activities. Quindio is a tourist hub, both for Colombian and international travelers. National Geographic nature tours proudly stop off in Quindio. The Parque del Cafe is among the main tourist draws. As most attractions are within short driving distances from Loma Linda, you have easy access to them and yet will enjoy a quiet, peaceful, rural, restful stay. Hiking & birdwatching guides can be made available. The home has four private bedrooms (2 people per room), one with a private bathroom, the others with a shared bathroom.
